The first note of autumn on paper.

This late afternoon I am accompanied by crows and sand flies as I wait for the magic to unfold. I have high expectations for the clouds today.

But what started out quite fine, slowly vanishes in front of me. I’ve had it.

“I begin wrapping up my gear to make my way back to the car when, suddenly, a hole appears in the clouds – beaming the sunset’s remaining light onto the top of a diagonal string of clouds out over the water.

I quickly turn around and pitch my camera to capture this exceptional moment. There is no other way for me to consider this except as a test of my persistence.”
